With over 25 years experience producing museum-quality decorative metalwork, we have a broad range of experience to draw from. For us, each project is completely unique. With that in mind, we have created a 3-step process. This process clarifies for our clients how we will take their project from initial inspiration to completion.
MEET
The first step in any working relationship is to get to know each other. At the beginning of a new project, we offer one 60-minute meeting, free of charge. This gives everyone a chance to become familiar with the project. During this meeting, we discuss what the client envisions for the project, including structure, materials and design. This meeting also gives the client a chance to learn more about various design and metalwork options. We establish a good working relationship before moving forward with each project.
CONSULT
After the initial meeting, some planning and preparatory work is usually required. We may need to research materials and produce samples. Or, we may need to design architectural details and furniture. In some instances, we collaborate with the client, architect or designer to realize a final design. We also work independently to answer technical questions and develop production options for client review.
The purpose of the consulting phase is to prepare everything we need, before actually building the project. This includes designs, samples, and a detailed proposal, including costs and timelines. Some projects require extensive preparatory work, others do not. Our fee for consulting work is unique for each project, and will be assessed at the end of the initial meeting.
PRODUCE
Once all aspects of the project are clearly defined, we form an agreement and move on to production. We send updates and progress photos throughout the production process, so clients are fully informed. Some clients also like to visit the studio, to see how their custom work is being created. The production phase comes to a close with shipment, delivery or installation.
